The facilitation & promotion of the interests of the IT Industry has always been the core focus of P@SHA policy advocacy. As a representative and voice of the IT industry in Pakistan, P@SHA has been actively involved in policy advocacy—recommending policies and suggesting implementation process—with the government bodies. P@SHA has lobbied for budget recommendations for IT and ITeS companies, most of which have been adopted as policies by the government.
P@SHA is pleased to release a public document of budget recommendations for the first time. The document is not only aimed to suggest fiscal policies to the government but also to raise awareness in the industry and member companies. Within P@SHA community, the public budget recommendations document seeks to bring transparency, record data, and consolidate feedback.
Along with covering broader recommendations for IT and ITeS for the budget 2022-2023, the recommendations for two emerging subsectors of e-commerce, AGG (Animations, Graphics and Games) are also included. Additionally, verticals such as Startup(s), and Freelancers are incorporated in the document as they are part of the ecosystem.
