Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO)

The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) has dedicated itself to promoting trade, along with encouraging and fostering relationships between its member organizations since its establishment in 1984 in Japan. Developing the computing society and industry in the region, as a federation of computing industry associations from the Asian-Oceanian region, is ASOCIO’s over riding aim.

The organization has been instrumental in linking up IT firms in the member economies. The annual ASOCIO ICT Summit is one of the region's high-powered IT forums- it provides platforms for both government and industry to share information, develop closer relationships and, most importantly, identify and avail new business opportunities.

Currently there are 20 members representing the countries of Japan, Australia, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam. ASOCIO also has seven guest members from USA, UK, Canada, Spain, France, Russia and Kenya.
