Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT & ITES (P@SHA) organized a training session on iOS Game Development in collaboration with Arpatech and Pi Labs on February 28, 2014. The session marked the beginning of an exciting P@SHA Training Series for the year 2014.
The three trainers, Abdul Basit, Asad Memon and Aneel Kumar are seasoned game developers from Pi Labs – which is a P@SHA member company. All three had hands-on experience of working on commercially hit products such as CandyPot, Feed Garfield, GulfTalk, Salah for Kids and many more games.
Their training encompassed cross platform game development engines like Cocos2d-x and platforms including iOS, Android, Windows Phone etc. The trainers talked about the creative thought process essentially required to make any game a big success as well as addictive for its users.
While Munir Usman, CEO Pi Labs was also present at the training session and introduced his team of trainers, Taha Munir from Pi Labs shared his experience of developing a game known as Letters2Friends.
The audience learnt some very useful and smart tips on “How to develop Flappy Bird in 2 hours”. The speakers talked about UIKit, mechanics, flexible architecture and advance knowledge followed by a quick coding tutorial during the two hours.
It was an extremely focused and valuable session for the participants. P@SHA is extremely grateful to Pi Labs and its group of talented trainers for taking out time for the session. Arpatech deserves a special mention as well for being such a wonderful host as always.
