Pakistan Innovation Foundation, in partnership with P@SHA and Ilm Ideas, is pleased to announce the next workshops its series of day-long training sessions for the Product Development Bootcamp of the Ilm Apps Challenge – Pakistan’s largest Learning Innovation Lab.
The titles of the upcoming sessions for software developers and game designers are:
CREATING LEARNING APPLICATIONS AND GAMES (ISB) and
UNDERSTANDING HOW KIDS LEARN – EDUCATIONAL PEDAGOGY FOR GAME DESIGNERS (KHI)
These sessions will focus on the fundamentals of learning theory and educational psychology necessary to build quality learning applications and educational games (in KHI) – a fast emerging market in the world AND basic principles of game design and gamification as applied to creating educational games (in ISB). Over the weekend, and next week, alternate workshops shall be given in these respective cities as well.
The session in Islamabad is from 09:30-17:00 hrs on Aug 26, 2014 (Tue) and is being hosted at Institute of Innovative Technologies in Education (ITE) at SEECS (NUST). Deadline for Registration 5pm TODAY (Aug 25).
The session in Karachi is from 09:30-17:00 hrs on Aug 28, 2014 (Thurs) and is being hosted by Karachi Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship (KITE). Deadline for Registration 5pm on Wed (Aug 27).
The Workshops are being facilitated by Dr. Ashraf Iqbal, Director Institute of Innovative Technologies in Education and Director of MS ITE Programme and Dr. Munira Amirali (PhD, Educational Pedagogy) at AKU-IED respectively.
Besides the IlmAppsChallenge Contestants, these sessions are open to professionals and students seeking to upgrade and hone their skills for carrying out user research and creating more effective platforms and content.
