Pakistan Software Houses Association seeks a full-time Research Assistant who will work in our Karachi offices for study on internet policy related issues.

Reporting to the President and working closely with civil society, industry representatives and government agencies, the incumbent will carry out research on a number of internet
policy related issues.

The Research Assistant will also be tasked with collating raw material to assemble statistics on internet related activity in Pakistan.
The Research Assistant will also conduct advocacy in an effort to promote an open Internet in Pakistan.

Additionally, the incumbent will create a database for research conducted and attend meetings; assist in media and government outreach; and perform other duties as assigned.

This is a one year full-time position, and depending on the results, will be extended for a second year.

Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 1.5 years of research experience or equivalent in education, training and experience.

Competitive pay scale plus some domestic travel.
