15,000 government employees provided IT training

Caretaker Sindh Minister for IT, Jam Karam Ali said in a press conference on January 16th that as many as 15,000 government employees have been imparted IT training in various cities and towns in Sindh, according to a report in the Daily Dawn.
Forty IT awareness centres have also been set up and a Hospital Management Information System project had been initiated aat the Civil Hospital in Karachi. The Caretaker Minister also mentioned the importance of the e-policing project which was being undertaken by the Sindh IT Ministry to help enhance the efficiency of the police and help bring down the crime rate.
Other projects in the pipeline include the Vehicle Management System, Video Conferencing, Traffic Management, inter-linking of driving license branches across the province and computerisation of prisons data.
